Ways to give

Regular giving

Regular giving benefits the church as it provides us with vital regular income and enables us to better budget for the year. For the donor it is simple to set up a regular online donation and this provides a record trail should the donor need to complete a tax return.

We understand that not everyone is able to donate regularly

One off donations by Bank Transfer, cheque or cash
Donations may be made direct to our Bank account by BACS.
You can also donate to the church through cheque (made payable to The Church in Abingdon Development Trust Ltd) or cash and this is gratefully received.

Please complete a gift aid form if you pay income tax.

One-off donations via Stewardship

If you have a Stewardship account, you can donate direct from this. You can also make a donation as a guest.
Stewardship take care of any eligible gift aid on our behalf.

Gift Aid

The Gift Aid scheme allows tax payers to give to the church in such a way that the tax you have already paid can be claimed back and added to your giving. For example if you give £20 a month, your donation increases to £25 a month.

There is no minimum or maximum donation amount for gift aid. However, you need to pay enough income tax or capital gains tax in each tax year to cover the amount reclaimed on your total Gift Aid giving, i.e. the £5 on the £20 donation.
