In the late 1970s, an anonymous donor gave £20,000 to establish an inter-denominational Christian presence on the emerging housing estates of north-east Abingdon. In 1987 the Christian Centre was completed.

The membership soon grew and the centre has been a hive of activity ever since, especially among families. At Peachcroft, four different denominations (Baptist, Church of England, Methodist and United Reformed Churches) come together as one church. Our desire is to show that unity exists among Christians. For us, putting our Christian faith into practice is far more important than any one brand of Christianity.
In 2007 the building was greatly extended. This has given us a much larger multi-purpose area for worship and facilities that enable us to serve the community and hence God through a wide variety of activities.
