In March 2007, after 14 months of a building project, we returned to our extended premises. We have enjoyed two week-ends of partying to which the general public were invited.

The first party was a weekend of events for the Peachcroft Estate, 23rd -25th March.

Friday 23rd March 7.30pm

The first event was an evening of comedy with entertainer Polly Deal (who reminded some of Victoria Wood) during which we had tea/coffee and puddings in the interval. Polly was brilliant and greatly enjoyed by 120 people.

Saturday 24th March 10am - 4pm
We had a family fun day with guided tours, balloon modelling, storytelling, children's activities, Sumo Suits and more.

For teenagers only, in the evening, Desire presented a fashion show 'Lift the Label' of great fairly traded clothing (with loud music and catwalk etc!). Over 120 young people attended.

Whose hands have touched the clothes you are wearing? Have you thought how your consumer choices bring you into contact with some of the poorest people in the world?

The Lift the Label fashion show was a spectacular night of fashion, and accessories, food and entertainment...with a fairtrade edge! (See the Traidcraft website.)

Sunday 25th March 10am
We had a wonderful time of worship and celebration with guest speaker Revd. Dr Roger Standing who gave an inspiring talk on generosity.
