On Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we have groups that meet in various homes starting at 8.00pm for exploring and thinking about the Bible and the relevance of Christianity in our lives. They often start with just chatting over cakes and drinks. Then someone will lead in an informal discussion on something the Bible says about our lives or society. We try to keep our discussion relevant to everyday life. So this could lead onto issues to do with marriage, children, careers, ethical issues and so on.

| At around 9.30pm, those present are invited to mention anything they would like to pray about - maybe an illness, a problem that is being faced, a difficulty or a difficult decision that needs to be made.
As a church we believe God hears and answers prayer. Home groups are a place to discover, maybe for the first time, just how close God is to us and how his love and power can affect our lives. The home groups also have a practical project or interest that helps them relate to our community. This may be the local beat officer or one of the local schools that we pray for regularly and keep in contact with. Members organise social events of a variety of types perhaps once a term which provide the opportunity to relax together.
